Welcome to the Baserga Lab!
We are dedicated to understanding how ribosomes are made in eukaryotic cells. Our work is essential for understanding a small group of inherited diseases known as ribosomopathies and understanding the dysregulation of ribosome biogenesis in cancer. Furthermore, we study novel factors which regulate or are involved in human ribosome biogenesis. Our lab works and has worked across eukaryotes, in budding yeast, frogs, fruit flies and mammalian tissue culture cells.
We are always happy to welcome like-minded undergraduates, post-bacs, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and visiting faculty to our lab! join us.
