Cecelia awarded a NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

A big congratulations to Cecelia Harold! Cecelia has been awarded a 2020 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF)! The NSF GRF is a highly competitive fellowship awarded to recognize and support outstanding students pursuing a research-based master’s or doctoral degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Cecelia is currently a second year Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Genetics studying novel mechanisms in the regulation of ribosome biogenesis in mammals. In addition to her research pursuits in the Baserga lab, Cecelia is currently the Chair of Professional Development for the Yale Chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS), a McDougal/Poorvu Writing Fellow, a Women in Science at Yale mentor, and a volunteer at Girls Science Investigations
