Congrats to Lisa! Today she was awarded the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Predoctoral Fellowship (F31) from the National Institute on Aging. Her proposal is titled “The intersection of Alzheimer’s disease and ribosome biogenesis through Amyloid Beta Precursor Protein Binding Family B Member 1 (APBB1; FE65),” which seeks understand the role of APBB1 in ribosome biogenesis and to explore the link between ribosome biogenesis and Alzheimer’s disease.
