The goal of Lisa’s research is to identify previously unknown regulators of mammalian ribosome biogenesis. The foundation of her research is a genome-wide screen that identified ~200 putative ribosome biogenesis factors. Hits range from expected factors such as ribosomal proteins, to proteins involved in embryonic development and neurodegenerative disease.
