Congratulations to Carson Bryant (pictured on left) who recently defended his Ph.D. and was named one of the 2023 Mary Ellen Jones Dissertation Prize winners! This is a well deserved accolade that encompasses all that he completed during his Ph.D. in the Baserga Lab. Carson succesfully developed new assays, discovered novel microRNA regulators of ribosome biogenesis, and helped further our understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of ribosompathies just to name a few highlights of his commendable work.
